NEWS UPDATES
I. Newly Established Parishes
We are blessed by God through the establishments of new parishes in the Diocese being ministered now by religious priests.
(1.) PARISH OF ST. CATHERINE OF ALEXANDRIA – Pagalanggang, Dinalupihan as the seat of the parish, Rev. Fr. Joseph Cremona, MSSP as the parish priest, from the Missionary Society of St. Paul
(2.) PARISH OF THE VISITATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY- Tala, Orani, as the seat of the parish; Rev. Fr. Jerry Bongcawil, FDCC, as the Parish Priest, from the Congregation of the Canossians Sons of Charity.
(3.) PARISH OF ST. THOMAS AQUINAS- Bangkal , Abucay as the seat of the parish; Rev. Fr. Lauro Mozo, MSC as the Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Charles Patricio, MSC, as assistant Parish Priest, from the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
(4.) PARISH OF SAN VICENTE FERRER- Saysain, Bagac, as the seat of the Parish; Rev. Fr. Dionisio Ramos, O. Carm. as Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Arnel L. Glodobe, O. Carm. as Assistant Parish Priest, from the Brothers of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
(5.) PARISH OF SAN ISIDRO- Nagwaling, Pilar as the seat of the Parish, Rev. Fr. Gabriel Kamus, OSJ, as Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Dennis Venus, OSJ as Assistant Parish Priest, from the Oblates of St. Joseph.
(6.) PARISH OF STO. NINO- Alas-Asin, Mariveles as the seat of the Parish; Rev. Fr. Norman Rodrigo Banzuela, OSJ, as Parish Priest; and Rev. Fr. Eladio Lizada, OSJ, as Assitant Parish Priest., from the Oblates of St. Joseph.
(7.) PARISH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION- Alion, Mariveles, as the seat of the Parish, Rev. Fr. Glenn E. Maga, CP, as Parish Priest; and Rev. Fr. Nonito B. Adorable, CP, as Assistant Parish Priest, from the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ. Or Passionist.
II. Newly Established Chaplaincies
(1.) CHAPLAINCY OF ST. MARTIN DE PORRES- In Bayan-Bayanan ng Aetas, Dinalupihan. with Rev. Fr. Henry Gueco as the Chaplain.
(2.) CHAPLAINCY OF ST. JEROME EMILIANI- In Roosebelt, Dinalupihan with Rev. Fr. Thomas Villanueva, CRS as the Chaplain, and Rev. Fr. Marcelo Pondoc, CRS as assistant, both from the Clerics Regular of Somasca (Somascans)
III. Welcome our New Sisters
The Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena are now offering their helping hand in Education. They are planning to build a big School of Siena College of Hermosa. The sisters sent are Sr. Maria Jesusa G. Enginco, O.P., Sr. Bernardita Dandoy, O.P.; Sr. Nancy Jimenez, O.P. Temporarily, they are residing at the old Parish Convent of Holy Family in Balsik, Hermosa. They have just started teaching Kindergarten A. Next year, God willing they will begin the teaching the Elementary, High School, and College Levels.
NEW ASSIGNMENTS IN THE DIOCESE
Msgr. Remigio Hizon is the new Chaplain of Bahay Puso (Home for the Aged) and Munting Tahanan (Home for the Street Children) He is expected to be the Director of the Diocesan Commission on Social Services. Rev. Fr. Edilberto Pomer, after serving Bahay Puso/Munting Tahanan for almost seven years now, will be transferred to Puerto Rivas in the Parish of the Immaculate Conception. This is his first time to be a Parish Priest after eleven years in the active ministry. Rev. Fr. Rosauro Guila, the former Parish Priest then will be transferred to Limay in the Parish of St. Francis of Assisi. Rev. Fr. Arnel Takata is now the Assistant Director in the Diocesan Liturgical Commission. Rev. Fr. Marlo de los Trinos is the Acting Parish Priest of the Parish of St. Joseph, the Worker, Cabcaben, Mariveles. Let us all pray for them in these new assignments. |
